African businesses frequently face the challenge of having short lifespans, mainly due to their reliance on their founders. When these founders pass away, it jeopardizes not only the businesses but also the groundbreaking ideas that drove their success. The problem is worsened by a scarcity of shared experiences and proper documentation, which limits the learning opportunities available to younger entrepreneurs. To address this, GlobalMentorBridge is hosting the “Beyond Ideas” summit in Lagos on August 3, 2024, at the Landmark Centre. This event will bring together business leaders, entrepreneurs, and startups for a day of knowledge exchange, networking, and mentorship. Keynote speakers include Ifeoma Malo, Don Ebubeogu, and Abimbola Adebakin, among others. The summit aims to bridge generational and sectoral gaps through effective mentoring and purposeful networking and has received support from various Nigerian businesses and international partners, including Al-Hussein Technical University in Jordan.
