SAP SE, the global enterprise software and artificial intelligence giant, has entered a strategic partnership with VFS Global to co-develop AI-driven digital solutions aimed at transforming cross-border mobility and enhancing citizen services for government clients worldwide.
In a joint statement issued on Wednesday, the companies said the initiative will see VFS Global implement SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition alongside SAP Business Technology Platform and SAP Business Data Cloud. The goal is to improve operational efficiency and security while introducing advanced, AI-enabled services across VFS Global’s global network.
“As a trusted partner to governments, we are proud to collaborate with SAP to enhance efficiency, security, and mobility for millions of travellers,” said Zubin Karkaria, Founder and CEO of VFS Global. “This marks a critical step in our mission to reimagine citizen service delivery through digital transformation.”
SAP CEO Christian Klein highlighted the significance of the collaboration, noting that SAP’s technologies would serve as the foundation for VFS Global’s next-generation digital architecture. “With SAP technology at the core, VFS Global is well-positioned to deliver innovation and digital excellence to its global stakeholders,” Klein said.
Michael Nilles, Chief Digital and Technology Officer at VFS Global, emphasized the role of the partnership in advancing the GovTech and TravelTech landscapes. “This collaboration reinforces our position at the forefront of innovation, enabling smarter, faster, and more secure services for governments and citizens around the world,” he said.
The alliance is expected to support VFS Global’s mandate of processing millions of visa, passport, and consular services each year across more than 140 countries, while enabling scalable, AI-enhanced solutions that meet evolving global mobility demands.
