Lagos — Africa’s largest fintech gathering, Nigeria Fintech Week (NFW), will return for its eighth edition from October 7 to 9, 2025, bringing together more than 20,000 stakeholders, policymakers, innovators, and investors.
With the theme “The Fintech Ecosystem Symphony: Orchestrating Nigeria’s Digital Future”, NFW25 will be hosted across Lagos, Abuja, and Enugu, with hybrid participation from global players.
Organisers said the 2025 edition will spotlight fintech’s expansion beyond financial services into healthcare, agriculture, education, media, transport, and entertainment.
Vice President of the Fintech Association of Nigeria, Dr. Jameelah Sharrieff-Ayedun, explained that fintech is now a conductor of Nigeria’s economic rhythm:
“From enabling microinsurance for healthcare and powering credit for smallholder farmers to boosting the creator economy and making transport transactions safer, fintech is shaping Nigeria’s future,” she said.
Executive Secretary of the Planning Committee, Seun Folorunsho, added that the conference will introduce multiple participant-led tracks tailored to policymakers, corporates, creators, SMEs, youth, and innovators.
Regulatory institutions already confirmed include the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC), National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), and the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC).
Other highlights include live innovation showcases, SME and youth workshops, global networking opportunities, and the unveiling of the Most Interesting Fintech of the Year.
Now in its eighth year, Nigeria Fintech Week has grown into a continental platform for shaping Africa’s digital economy, with this year’s edition aiming to accelerate policies, partnerships, and innovation for inclusive growth.
“Fintech powers everything, and NFW25 is where Nigeria’s future is co-created. We are inviting everyone, from innovators to end-users, to be part of this symphony,” Folorunsho said.
