Chinese tech giant Huawei Technologies has announced the commencement of pre-orders for its new Mate 70 smartphone line, as per a statement on its official WeChat account. The company also revealed plans to host a Mate brand event on November 26, where it is expected to unveil its latest smartphone series.

Mate 70 Pre-Order Details

Huawei’s online store now allows users to reserve the Mate 70 and its two Pro versions without requiring a deposit. However, the company has yet to disclose pricing details for these devices.

Resurgence in the 5G Premium Market

This launch follows Huawei’s triumphant return to the premium 5G smartphone market in 2023 with the Mate 60 series. These devices feature domestically produced semiconductors, a significant milestone for Huawei as it navigates the challenges posed by U.S. sanctions.

Since 2019, Huawei has faced restrictions that barred access to advanced U.S. chips and related technologies. The Mate 60 phones were celebrated in China as a technological achievement symbolizing resilience in the face of these limitations.
