Spotify has once again elevated its annual Wrapped experience, introducing innovative AI-powered features to create an even more personalized summary of users’ music journeys throughout the year. Building on its immense popularity, the 2024 Spotify Wrapped now includes a new AI podcast, an AI DJ, and an AI Playlist feature, offering music lovers a deeper and more interactive way to relive their year in music.

Spotify Wrapped AI Podcast

A standout feature of this year’s Wrapped is the AI podcast, which delivers a personalized audio recap of users’ musical experiences. Powered by advanced AI technology from Google, the podcast features two AI hosts discussing your favorite tracks, artists, and how your music tastes evolved throughout the year. The AI podcast is crafted using the same technology that drives Google’s NotebookLM Audio Overviews.

To listen to your Wrapped AI podcast, simply:

1. Go to the Wrapped feed on the Spotify app or visit spotify.com/wrappedAIpodcast.
2. Tap on “Your Wrapped AI podcast” to start listening.

Users can also share or download their 2024 Wrapped AI podcast. This feature is available in English for Spotify Free and Premium users in the U.S., U.K., Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Ireland, and Sweden. However, Spotify cautions that the AI hosts may occasionally mispronounce words and do not always provide a fully comprehensive overview.

AI DJ and Personalized Commentary

In addition to the AI podcast, Spotify is introducing the AI DJ feature into its Wrapped experience. This feature offers insightful commentary on your listening habits over the year, providing expert commentary on the top tracks and artists of 2024, alongside your personal music journey. The AI DJ will even highlight the unique relationship you’ve built with the DJ, bringing an added level of engagement to your Wrapped experience.

AI Playlist: Tailored Soundtracks

The new AI Playlist feature offers users the ability to create personalized playlists based on specific prompts, like “a playlist of my top genres” or “artists similar to my top 5.” This feature will generate custom playlists that perfectly reflect your musical tastes, further enhancing your Wrapped experience.
