Lagos, Nigeria – February 25, 2025 – ST Team, an AI-powered investment platform, has unveiled a free technology training initiative aimed at equipping underprivileged youths with essential digital skills.
The programme, known as the ST Tech Academy, was announced during a press conference on Friday and will provide training in software engineering, full-stack development, web design, and other tech-related fields.
Bridging the Digital Education Gap
Designed exclusively for the children of ST Team members, the initiative ensures that financial limitations do not hinder access to quality digital education.
“Our goal is to equip young people with the skills needed to thrive in the digital economy. We recognise that access to tech education is often limited by cost, and we want to bridge that gap,” said Trust Otorudo, Regional Head of Smart Treasures in Lagos.
Training Structure and Phases
The ST Tech Academy will be led by ST Team VIP member Ejiro Awenayeri and will run in three phases:
- Beginners Level – 2 months
- Intermediate Level – 3 months
- Advanced Level – 6 months
The entire programme spans 11 months and will begin with virtual classes before expanding to physical training sessions.
Ejiro praised the initiative, highlighting how high training costs often prevent young people from acquiring essential digital skills.
“This programme is a game-changer. It provides a rare opportunity for youths to learn software development and coding at no cost,” he said.
Empowering the Next Generation
The ST Team encouraged its members to enrol their children, reaffirming its commitment to fostering digital inclusion and preparing young Nigerians for successful careers in technology and innovation.
