In a strategic move to enhance its cyber threat intelligence offerings, global cybersecurity giant Check Point Software Technologies has announced the acquisition of Israeli-based threat intelligence firm, Cyberint. The deal, finalized this week, marks another milestone in the consolidation of the cybersecurity industry and underscores the growing demand for proactive threat detection tools.
Check Point, known for its robust portfolio of firewall and cloud security solutions, stated that the acquisition would allow it to integrate Cyberint’s advanced threat intelligence platform into its existing architecture, delivering enhanced protection against emerging threats across digital ecosystems.
“This acquisition is a significant step forward in our mission to provide the most comprehensive and proactive security solutions,” said Gil Shwed, Founder and CEO of Check Point. “Cyberint’s intelligence-led technology will strengthen our capabilities in detecting and responding to sophisticated cyber threats before they can cause harm.”
Cyberint, headquartered in Tel Aviv, specializes in deep and dark web monitoring, brand protection, and external attack surface management. The firm has developed a reputation for providing actionable intelligence that helps organizations stay ahead of adversaries in a rapidly evolving threat landscape.
The value of the acquisition was not publicly disclosed, but industry analysts suggest the deal reflects a broader trend of consolidation among cybersecurity firms as they seek to offer end-to-end threat detection and response solutions amid increasing global cyberattacks.
Yochai Corem, CEO of Cyberint, expressed optimism about the integration, saying, “Joining forces with Check Point gives us a powerful platform to scale our impact and reach. Together, we aim to deliver intelligence-driven security that anticipates attacks before they occur.”
The acquisition is expected to be completed in Q2 2025, pending regulatory approvals. Check Point has indicated that Cyberint’s team and technologies will be seamlessly integrated into its Infinity architecture.
With this move, Check Point strengthens its position in the competitive cybersecurity market, where rapid innovation and intelligence-driven strategies have become crucial in the fight against increasingly sophisticated threat actors.
