Aptech Nigeria has announced the 17th edition of its flagship career development seminar, Career Quest 2025, scheduled to hold across seven cities in September.
The event, organised in partnership with Middlesex University, London, will run from September 2 to 10 in Lagos, Abuja, Enugu, Ibadan, Port Harcourt, Ota and Calabar, with additional virtual sessions planned for those unable to attend in person. In Lagos alone, the seminar will be staged across multiple locations, including Maryland, Lekki, Victoria Island, Surulere, Ajah, Ikeja and Festac Town.
Described as the largest seminar of its kind in Nigeria, Career Quest is designed to equip students, parents and young professionals with insights into high-demand careers in the global digital economy. Participants will engage with experts on emerging fields such as data science, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, cloud computing, gaming and animation.
The initiative also continues Aptech’s academic partnership with Middlesex University, which allows Nigerian students to complete an Advanced Diploma at Aptech and proceed directly into the final year of select UK degree programmes. Available options include BSc (Hons) IT and Business Information Systems, BSc (Hons) Business Computing and Data Analytics, BA (Hons) Animation, and BA (Hons) 3D Animation for Games & Films.
Students under the pathway can save up to two years of study time while reducing tuition costs. More than 850 Nigerians have benefited from the arrangement since its inception 19 years ago.
This year’s edition will also feature scholarship opportunities, including a lucky draw for up to 50 per cent tuition waivers on Middlesex University degrees and discounts on Aptech professional courses. Last year, scholarships worth over N621 million were awarded.
Speaking ahead of the event, Kallol Mukherjee, Executive Vice President, International Business at Aptech Limited, said the programme reflects Aptech’s mission of bridging “the gap between ambition and opportunity.”
“With Career Quest, we are equipping participants with pathways to international degrees and high-demand careers that will shape Nigeria’s digital future,” he said.
Aptech, which has operated in Nigeria for more than 25 years, runs over 40 training centres nationwide and has trained thousands of students in IT, media and related fields. The 2025 seminar comes at a time when Nigeria’s ICT sector is expanding rapidly, contributing over 10 per cent to GDP in the first quarter of the year and projected to generate $32.8 billion by year-end.
