Leading technology distributor TD Africa and global computer manufacturer HP have renewed their strategic partnership, reaffirming a shared commitment to expanding technology access and driving digital growth across Africa.
The renewed alliance was formalised during a high-level strategy session hosted by TD Africa, which brought together senior executives from both organisations to review their ongoing collaboration and chart a course for the next phase of growth.
According to a statement from TD Africa, discussions centred on extending HP’s footprint beyond Nigeria and Ghana, with plans to leverage the distributor’s extensive network to penetrate emerging markets across Sub-Saharan Africa.
The timing of the meeting coincided with Customer Service Week 2025, themed “Mission: Possible,” underscoring the partners’ shared dedication to customer-centric innovation and service excellence.
“TD Africa and HP have walked this journey together for years, and this meeting reaffirms our joint commitment to deliver value to our customers and partners across Africa,” said Ikenna Ekeh, Group Head, Computing Business at TD Africa.
“As HP’s financial year draws to a close, this is the time to realign, refocus, and reposition for impact, ensuring that the next phase of our partnership is bolder, smarter, and truly pan-African.”
HP’s Head of Channel for Southern and Central Africa, Richard Stainforth, described TD Africa as more than just a distributor, praising the firm as a key growth partner capable of driving innovation and sustainability across the continent.
“TD Africa has proven time and again that they are not just a distributor, but a true growth partner,” Stainforth said.
“Our goal moving forward is to deepen collaboration, expand reach, and continue to deliver innovation that meets the real needs of businesses and consumers across Africa.”
The partnership renewal commits both companies to strengthening operational efficiency, enhancing customer experience, and pursuing new market opportunities across Africa’s rapidly evolving technology landscape.
Industry analysts say the collaboration could significantly accelerate digital inclusion, expand the availability of technology solutions, and support the continent’s digital transformation goals.
Through the renewed alliance, HP and TD Africa aim to meet growing demand for IT solutions in education, enterprise, and public service sectors, ensuring businesses and individuals have access to cutting-edge technology and support.
The development highlights the increasing focus of global tech giants on Africa’s emerging markets — with distributors like TD Africa playing a pivotal role in bridging supply, service, and infrastructure gaps to sustain the continent’s tech-driven growth.
