As Africa’s tech economy accelerates, WITESA 2026 is stepping forward with a focused agenda: ensuring women are not observers of digital transformation but central architects of it.
The fifth Women in Technology and Engineering Summit and Awards is scheduled for June 23 and 24 in Lagos. Organised by Womenovate in partnership with Tech Revolution Africa, this year’s edition represents the summit’s Lagos debut following four earlier instalments.
WITESA 5.0 integrates industry dialogue, startup exposure, and formal recognition into a two-day programme structured to generate measurable outcomes. Its nine tracks will feature over 60 speakers examining artificial intelligence, sustainable innovation, infrastructure development, and strategies for equitable scaling.
Fifty startups will participate in live pitch sessions before investors and corporate leaders, creating opportunities for direct engagement and funding discussions. More than 2,000 participants are projected to attend across both days.
The event will conclude with a gala awards ceremony honouring over 60 women for excellence and impact within Africa’s technology and engineering sectors.
MTN Nigeria’s decision to join as Gold Sponsor underscores the commercial alignment between inclusive innovation platforms and corporate growth strategies.
Womenovate Founder Motunrayo Opayinka noted that the summit is structured to create long-term pathways for women’s advancement rather than short-term visibility.
Tickets are available across five tiers ranging from ₦10,000 to ₦200,000, with a Gala Table package priced at ₦1,000,000. Promotional offers are currently available for select ticket bundles.
Organisers say Executive and Premium ticket holders will benefit from structured investor engagement, exclusive networking sessions, and enhanced gala access.
