Global wellness and lifestyle company QNET has partnered with Covenant University to highlight the scientific research supporting its wellness products, as part of a broader initiative to tackle the rising tide of lifestyle-related illnesses across Africa.
At a Science Dialogue hosted at the university in Ogun State and themed “Demystifying the Science Around QNET Products”, the company presented research-led insights into the efficacy of its Amezcua range, including BioDisc 3, ChiPendant 4, and BioLight 3.
The event brought together scientists, students, and wellness advocates, offering a platform to connect academic inquiry with practical, science-based health solutions tailored for the African context.
Speaking at the forum, Professor Abiodun Adebayo, Director of Research, Innovation, and Discovery at Covenant University, and a Fellow of the Nigerian Academy of Science, explained the science underpinning the products. He noted that the innovations utilise structured water, infrared light, and positive electromagnetic forces to support healing and restore cellular balance.
“These wellness innovations are designed to support holistic well-being and have shown potential in reducing stress, improving sleep, easing joint discomfort, and enhancing digestion—issues that are increasingly prevalent in African households,”
— Prof. Abiodun Adebayo
Professor Adebayo added that the dialogue marked a critical step in translating scientific research into practical health solutions. “My focus has long been on structured water and light-based therapies. This platform allows me to share these findings with future scientists and entrepreneurs.”
Biram Fall, QNET’s Regional General Manager for Sub-Saharan Africa, said the collaboration with Covenant University underlines QNET’s commitment to evidence-based wellness.
“By bridging innovation, research, and everyday well-being, we are reinforcing our promise to improve lives through credible, science-backed approaches,”
— Biram Fall, QNET
A highlight of the event was the presentation of student-led research, which revealed that the BioDisc 3 could improve beverage quality by enhancing electrical conductivity and reducing microbial loads. Coordinated by Professor Adebayo, the studies suggested that energised water, when passed through the BioDisc, transforms into a hexagonal structure that is more easily absorbed by the body—boosting hydration, detoxification, and immune function.
Other wellness technologies introduced included the BioLight 3, which emits targeted frequencies to promote wellness, and the Biofom, designed to reduce electromagnetic radiation from everyday electronic devices.
In a live demonstration, Professor Adebayo measured radiation from household routers and mobile phones, emphasising the need for protective measures against long-term exposure.
Theodocia Naana Quartey, QNET’s Senior Legal Counsel for Sub-Saharan Africa, hailed the collaboration as impactful and praised Covenant University’s leadership.
“Working with Professor Adebayo has been an enriching experience as we strive to deliver solutions that are effective and contextually relevant to Africa,”

Hosted by the university’s Vice-Chancellor, Professor Timothy Anake, the event also provided students with firsthand exposure to QNET’s direct selling model, showcasing opportunities in entrepreneurship and wellness advocacy.
With the World Health Organisation attributing more than 74% of global deaths to non-communicable diseases such as diabetes and heart disease, health experts say Africa urgently needs accessible, affordable, and scientifically grounded wellness innovations.
QNET’s partnership with Covenant University is expected to foster greater understanding of wellness technologies and empower a new generation of health-conscious innovators in Nigeria and beyond.
