HR software giant Workday has announced a definitive agreement to acquire Paradox, a recruitment technology company known for its AI-driven candidate experience platform.
Paradox specializes in conversational AI that streamlines the hiring journey, particularly for high-volume frontline industries, by providing instant applicant responses, self-scheduling features, and 24/7 support.
Workday said the acquisition will expand its talent acquisition suite, allowing customers to more efficiently find, hire, and onboard workers across both frontline and office roles, including contingent staff.
The deal is expected to close in the third quarter of Workday’s fiscal year 2026 (ending October 31, 2025), subject to regulatory approvals. Financial details were not disclosed.
Gerrit Kazmaier, Workday’s President of Product and Technology, said the move will modernize hiring for its clients:
“By bringing Paradox’s candidate experience AI agent into Workday, we’re giving organizations a smarter, faster, and more engaging way to connect with candidates. Together, we’ll help our customers move from transactional recruiting to transformative hiring that delivers talent in less time and with a better experience for everyone.”
Paradox’s technology has powered over 189 million AI-assisted candidate conversations, with reported conversion rates above 70%, reducing time-to-hire to as little as 3.5 days.
The integration will bring together:
- Workday Recruiting (hiring and onboarding)
- HiredScore (AI-powered talent discovery and matching)
- Paradox (AI-driven candidate engagement)
This creates what Workday describes as a unified, intelligent hiring suite that eliminates inefficiencies caused by outdated processes and disconnected tools.
Paradox CEO Adam Godson said joining Workday will accelerate its mission on a global scale:
“From day one, our mission has been to help our customers’ recruiting and hiring teams spend more time with people and less time with software. Workday’s global reach and comprehensive platform provide the perfect runway to bring our conversational AI to a much bigger audience and help more companies transform their hiring processes.”
