Agenz, a Moroccan proptech startup focused on digitising real estate transactions, has raised $5 million in fresh funding to accelerate product development and deepen its investments in artificial intelligence (AI) for the property market.
Who Backed the Round
The funding round attracted participation from Breega, a European venture capital firm, Attijariwafa Ventures, and Saviu Ventures, an Africa-focused growth capital fund. The raise marks a significant step up for Agenz, coming three years after its $1.3 million pre-Series A financing round in 2023.
Why Morocco’s Real Estate Market Is Ripe for Disruption
The funding arrives at a moment of growing momentum in Morocco’s property market. Residential land transactions surpassed 140,000 in 2023, up from the previous year, according to a World Bank document — highlighting the significant opportunity for digital real estate platforms that can simplify and streamline property transactions for buyers, sellers, agents, and financial institutions alike.
Agenz’s Vision: Transparent, Data-Driven Real Estate
Founded in 2021 by brothers Malik Belkeziz and Badr Belkeziz, Agenz operates an integrated real estate technology platform that combines:
- Property valuation tools
- Market intelligence and data analytics
- Solutions for professional real estate services
- Digital transaction management
Malik Belkeziz, Co-founder and CEO of Agenz, explained the company’s vision: “We believe the future of real estate will be built on the responsible use of data and artificial intelligence. Our ambition is to leverage technology to create a more transparent, secure and accessible market, while keeping user trust at the centre of everything we do.”
He added that the new capital will allow the company to “accelerate this vision for the benefit of the entire Moroccan real estate ecosystem.”
How the $5 Million Will Be Used
Beyond product development and AI investment, the fresh capital will be used to expand Agenz’s services across a wider range of users, including:
- Individual property buyers and sellers
- Real estate agents and brokers
- Property developers
- Investors
- Financial institutions and banks
Strong Growth Metrics
Since launching its transaction platform in 2023, Agenz has recorded consistent growth in transaction volumes. By May 2026, the company’s website, Agenz.ma, surpassed 730,000 monthly visits — a clear indicator of growing user adoption and market relevance.
Investor Confidence in Agenz’s Platform
Driss Ibenmansour, Partner at Breega, expressed strong confidence in the startup’s trajectory: “Agenz has built, in just a few years, the platform the Moroccan real estate sector was missing, bringing together data, tools and transactions into one seamless experience. We believe this funding will help accelerate an already ongoing transformation of the market.”
A Growing African Proptech Sector
Agenz’s raise reflects broader investor confidence in African proptech as a high-growth vertical. As digital real estate platforms gain traction across the continent, startups that combine data intelligence, AI-powered valuation tools, and end-to-end transaction management are increasingly attracting both local and international venture capital.
With $5 million in new funding, a rapidly growing user base, and a clear focus on AI-driven real estate innovation, Agenz is well positioned to become the leading digital real estate platform in Morocco and potentially across the wider North African property market.
