Lagos, Nigeria — Payments education and advisory firm Intreensic has unveiled a comprehensive suite of professional training courses designed to close the growing talent gap in Africa’s fast-evolving digital payments and fintech industry.
In a statement issued Wednesday, the company announced that the new offerings are tailored to equip professionals, entrepreneurs, and organisations with the technical and strategic skills required to succeed in an increasingly complex payments landscape.
Founded by renowned payments expert Nkebet Mesele, Intreinsic aims to transform careers and support innovation across Africa’s digital finance ecosystem through structured, CPD-certified programmes.
“Our mission at Intreinsic is to empower professionals with a world-class education that combines global best practices with localised insights,” said Mesele. “In an era where the payments landscape is evolving rapidly, we’re not just educating — we’re enabling innovation.”
Intreensic’s flagship courses include Introduction to Payments, which provides a historical and conceptual overview of the payments industry, ideal for entrepreneurs and consumers interested in finance. Another key offering is The Payments Professional (TPP), which covers in-depth topics like electronic and real-time payments, mobile transactions, and the four-party model, alongside practical modules on regulatory compliance and operational risks.
The Payments Operation Professional (POP) course builds on TPP, covering EMV technology, billing, reconciliation, dispute resolution, and the roles of various stakeholders within payment systems. Meanwhile, the Payments Business Professional course focuses on profitability drivers, issuer-acquirer relationships, fee structures, and regulatory complexities in building sustainable payment businesses.
Intreensic also offers Remote Payments, which addresses digital commerce, fraud mitigation, cross-border transactions, and user experience optimisation. The Risk and Regulations in Payments course covers critical topics such as fraud prevention, anti-money laundering, and compliance. The Mastering Fintech course is designed for innovators, guiding learners from product ideation to market launch and expansion. Another offering, Cybersecurity, focuses on securing digital financial transactions in an era of rising cyber threats. Finally, Remittances provides a comprehensive look at global remittance flows, emerging technologies, and operational best practices.
Intreensic’s programmes are currently enrolling cohorts from across the continent, with participants from Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, Botswana, and Namibia. All courses are delivered through a cloud-based learning management system, enabling flexible and interactive learning.
The company also revealed that its training is accredited by both the CPD Group and the CPD Certification Service, whose certifications are recognised in over 100 countries.
“This recognition reflects our commitment to offering training that is both globally credible and locally relevant,” Mesele added.
Industry observers note that as fintech continues to power Africa’s digital economy, capacity-building initiatives like Intreinsic’s are critical for addressing the skills deficit and unlocking long-term growth.
