Nigeria has recorded a major milestone in Africa’s digital innovation drive with the official launch of CloudVantage, the country’s first indigenous cloud automation platform.
The platform, unveiled on Monday, is designed to simplify and automate cloud operations for developers, engineers, and enterprises across the continent tackling persistent challenges such as high costs, complex onboarding, and security vulnerabilities.
Speaking at the launch, Chief Executive Officer Muhideen Ashiru said the company was created to empower African businesses with accessible and affordable cloud solutions built for the local environment.
“For too long, Nigerian and African businesses have sought affordable, local cloud-automation solutions with a simple ‘pay-as-you-go’ model,” Ashiru said. “CloudVantage provides those dependable solutions. We’re not just offering cloud services; we’re delivering an automated digital advantage.”
Built on intelligent automation, CloudVantage optimises costs, automates provisioning, and enhances real-time security monitoring. It automatically analyses and adjusts cloud resources to prevent the budget overruns common in traditional systems, while offering built-in automated security checks to reduce misconfiguration risks.
Ashiru noted that the platform’s automated provisioning feature allows instant self-service deployment of Virtual Private Servers and Cloud environments, cutting down deployment time and minimising human error.
CloudVantage’s suite includes core computing, networking, and storage services, as well as Database as a Service (DBaaS), scalable infrastructure hosting, load balancing, and floating IPs. Additional tools such as vault storage, snapshot backups, and persistent block storage ensure robust data protection and recovery for businesses of all sizes.
“We built CloudVantage for Africa a secure, automated, and scalable ecosystem enabling every business to innovate faster and smarter,” Ashiru added.
The platform is now open for sign-ups from developers, startups, and enterprises looking to modernise their digital infrastructure with locally managed, cost-effective cloud solutions.
